My name is Alejandra Giménez and I am the business and development manager at Novamine. Novamine is a company dedicated to the manufacture of hydraulic equipment, with high-impact innovation, where we highlight our hopper change equipment that was developed in 2002 and to date we have 20 units installed and working in Chile and different parts of the world, such as the USA, Brazil, Mozambique, Peru, Mexico and we intend to cross borders to reach more challenging markets such as Canada and Australia. Well, first it is a challenge for me because I am a woman and I was very young when I started in mining and many markets there is another barrier which is the gender barrier, the fact that I am a woman. That is still a barrier in many markets and being young was also a barrier, so mainly with negotiation techniques, with the power of persuasion and also because in our team, visually and quickly, it is easy to realize that the technology change is noticeable. The entrepreneur's journey is noticeable with ups and downs but above all I am proud to have taken the technology that was developed here in Antofagasta to different parts of the world.
