PROCHILE CELEBRATES ITS 45 YEARS OF AWARDING REGIONAL COMPANIES
December 2, 2019
In the eCommerce category, the award went to the company Benexia from the Arica and Parinacota Region; the Woman Award went to the company Aserraderos Poco a Poco from Biobío while the Innovation Award went to the company Altum Lab from the Metropolitan Region. In addition, the ProChile Spirit award was presented, which sought to recognize an exporting company with more than ten years of experience that has achieved growth in international markets, with social responsibility, that is sustainable and whose offer represents added value. This award was given to the company Bayas del Sur, from the Los Lagos Region.

ProChile, an institution in charge of promoting the export of goods and services, celebrated its 45 years of existence, recognizing a group of companies that have worked with them during their export process. One of them was Novamine, an Antofagasta company dedicated to high-impact engineering that has shipments to the United States, Mozambique and Peru and is about to close new contracts in Brazil and Mexico. Novamine manufactures special machinery for the sector and develops large-scale components such as hopper lifters. The award was received by Alejandra Giménez, a businesswoman who has developed her entire export process with ProChile, participating in export training workshops, trade missions and competitions. “Thanks to the tools that ProChile has given us, we have been able to access five markets in only three years. The export of our product would not have been possible or would have taken longer without the management or the network of commercial offices of ProChile abroad (…) This is a recognition of the effort and work of my entire team. It is an award for not throwing in the towel and that although there are markets that are closing, there are others that are opening,” said Giménez. “The idea of giving these awards in recognition responds to what ProChile has revealed in these 45 years in its support to Chilean companies and in how we go out to the world with our exportable offer. I want to congratulate all the companies that were chosen and I ask them to continue working together, today more than ever, because our country has to move forward,” said the General Director of ProChile, Jorge O’Ryan. “In these last two years, we have given a strong push to innovation, to companies that add value to their exportable offer and services, without neglecting traditional exports. Today, however, we cannot remain oblivious to the social crisis affecting our country, so efforts are also focused on supporting exporting SMEs, which are a driving force of the economy and also of Chile's international trade," concluded O'Ryan.
