As part of the collaboration agreement between Santo Tomás Antofagasta and Novamine, we had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the Santo Tomás Antofagasta Campus, continuing the joint efforts we’ve been developing together. This partnership aims to create real spaces for learning and innovation for students and recent graduates, preparing them for the challenges of the professional world.

👨‍🏫 The delegation included: Enrique Maluenda, Head of the Maintenance Engineering Program; Víctor Jerez, Program Coordinator; Adela Ortiz Naranjo, Michael Moreno, and Pedro León, Faculty Members from the Engineering Department; and Loreto Monsalve, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Coordinator at IPCFT.

🔧 Representing Novamine were: Manuel Schmitt, Operations Manager; Elías Rebolledo Rodríguez, Project & Quality Engineer; and Sebastian Nicolas Valenzuela Pizarro, Automation & Control Engineer.

💡During the visit, we presented a technological innovation challenge based on one of our lifting systems—the Hopper Change Equipment. Based on a real-world problem, students will propose technical solutions aligned with the provided requirements and standards. This initiative is key to fostering hands-on learning, promoting innovation skills, and strengthening the synergy between industry and academia.

As a company, we are convinced that regional and global development goes hand-in-hand with young talent. Our products not only make an impact in the Antofagasta Region but also reach international markets such as Peru, the United States, Mexico, Mozambique, and Brazil 🌐.
